The i before some Apple products.



Apple, Inc. originally adopted the "i" for their product names, starting with the iMac in 1998, to indicate that they were Internet-friendly when it could be difficult for inexperienced users to set up an Internet connection. This naming convention has continued with other products, such as iPods and iPads
